London beats NYC in Murders for February for first time

Stabbings surge.
Both cities have about the same number of people. Murders in London have increased 38% since 2014.
I guess you could say both are gun free.
I'm seeing a knife ban for England.

They beat NYC for March too,with 22 murders to NYC's 21.

I’ve been told by a pro gunner that there is already a knife ban if the blade exceeds 4” in England.
I need to verify.

Here are the knife laws, 3” max blade Swiss army type folding knife ok. No locking type knives. Can’t carry a knife for protection or pretty much any reason, except to and from work. Can’t sell a knife to a minor.
Knives can’t be black, have a pistol grip or have a detachable magazine.

They already have severe knife restrictions. Anyone under the age of 18 is even prohibited from buying a place setting with a knife.
It is illegal to: sell a knife of any kind (including cutlery and kitchen knives) to anyone under 18. carry a knife in public without good reason – unless it's a knife with a folding blade 3 inches long (7.62 cm) or less, eg a Swiss Army knife.
Good reasons for carrying a knife or weapon
Examples of good reasons to carry a knife or weapon in public can include:
taking knives you use at work to and from work
taking it to a gallery or museum to be exhibited
if it’ll be used for theatre, film, television, historical reenactment or religious purposes, for example the kirpan some Sikhs carry
if it’ll be used in a demonstration or to teach someone how to use it
A court will decide if you’ve got a good reason to carry a knife or a weapon if you’re charged with carrying it illegally.
