Mailed my package on 7-2-07. Got my pin in the mail on 7-21-07. Recieved my App. complete Status on 8-6-07. (may have happened early as last fri., but i was at the hospital w/ my wife, child #2, BABY BOY!) got my plastic today 8-11-07! Finally! I was actually surprised how fast it came after getting the App. Comp. status. i thought that might take a couple weeks. 40 days, not too bad. Fixin' to "have to go to the store for something".

Thanks Hoppes, I feel that the end is near.

I was faced with at least 90 processing days instead of the average due to several errors on the TR100 form (I never saw numbers 2 & 3 that were mailed to DPS). I was happily pleased to find that I didn't have to wait that long. You'll be in here doing the dance real soon. Get your dancin' shoes on.

Good vibes, dude. I couldn't stand the uncertainty
any longer
, so I broke down and called DPS/CHL this morning. According to the staff member I spoke with, my CHL is good-to-go.

I'm a little suspicious though since the DPS website still shows "processing."

I wouldn't be too suspicious. They will get it done real soon. When you check the status and it changes, there will be a momentary drool, but then you'll come back to your senses soon. Visions of mail boxes and postmen dance in your head...

LOL, I've had those
visions for weeks now! I feel like it's Christmas time in August...there's just something really cool about getting licenses/credentials I guess, especially the CHL.

Awesome news, L8RG8R, I'm glad that you called and got the good word! Has your status changed on the DPS website, or does it still list your's as "processing"? I'll check my status again later on today.

Thanks for the props, Hoppes and Mark G26, I do feel like doin' the dance!

I just want to actually see the status flip first.
