This ought to help show some people that we don't have a gun problem in this country. Guns are just tools like any other, but the mind behind the hand using the tool is always the issue.



On a side note, a comment made by her parents also made me wonder.

"We are law abiding citizens, we don't even own guns"

Agreed, on both counts...

I guess no one on this forum is a law-abiding citizen according to her parents. LOL,

She is out on bond. Who can figure?

Innocent until proven guilty, just about anyone gets a bond set unless they've done some REALLY heinous crime. At this point all she is accused of is terroristic threats so she was still able to get a bond amount set. Although I'm sure they are keeping a close eye on her.

I know it's just shocking, that with everything that happened there I would have expected a higher bond that's all. I would have put her on psychiatric hold at least.

She is likely mentally I'll and needs a psych evaluation.

Yea I guess the law is odd like that. Threaten to hurt yourself and get put in the puzzle factory, threaten others, get out on bond. I'm sure her parents put up their home or something as collateral to bail her out.

In other words they were saying that in addition to being law abiding, they don’t happen to own any. Not so much saying they were opposing others who do. Other than their insane daughter that is.

That is the way I read it, too. The "and" makes a big difference. I have some empathy for the parents in cases like this. It possible that they had no idea that their adult daughter was talking like she was off the rails. People don't always say the smartest things when someone sticks a microphone in their face in the middle of a family crisis.

For a teacher, she's extraordinarily ignorant. Eileen Wuornos has already set the bar for female serial killers. I'm surprised the Me-Too movement hasn't already adopted her as their mascot. And if Paddock's girlfriend Marilou Danley was actually in the room during that event, then the 'bar' has been advanced considerably already.........
