My wait has begun, with F.A.S.T prints

After some stories of fingerprints being rejected I decided to give one of the FAST places some business. The digital fingerprints came out great, but the place didn't take my pictures. The operator has me paranoid that the fingerprints and pictures must be signed by the same person/business.
Fingerprint cards done, photo during my CHL class and the instructor said my FAST prints would be fine, no worries. Now my packet is in the mail. Going to capture this in my timeline, just in case the FAST works.
Tick tock.

That's my understanding. The person who takes your prints has to sign the back of your photos. The purpose of that is to confirm to DPS that the photo and the prints correspond to the same person.
The person who takes the prints does not actually have to take the photos, just sign them.

That's what I'm afraid of now. Conflicting stories, but according to my instructor who has done new and renewals since the CHL began, they have gone through this earlier this year and said it would be okay. We'll see.

Well, the printed instructions that come with the application explicitly say the the photos must be signed by the person taking the prints. Maybe it's different with F.A.S.T.
Good luck.

89 days later . . .

My status finally changed to Applicaton Completed.
After about 30 days my paranoia got the better of me so I sent an email asking about my prints/photo. I was told not to worry, I wouldn't have to resubmit anything.
Phone call at 60 days - still waiting background check. I had an FBI background check and security clearance within the last year so not sure what the problem could be.
Phone call at 80 days - still waiting background check.
I got home last night from deer hunting and logged on to see that my status had finally changed. I don't know if my photo/print blunder slowed things down or not. 89 days from "Processing" to "Completed." Just glad that my "final wait" for the postman has begun.
