The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries found this week that a Walmart store in St. Helens violated the state's nondiscrimination laws when it refused to sell a rifle to a woman who was not yet 21 years old.

Hannah Brumbles, 18, of Deer Island, Ore., filed a civil rights complaint with the state agency in April. She says Walmart discriminated against her by refusing to sell her a rifle, even though Oregon law says individuals over 18 may legally purchase firearms. BOLI agrees.

Seems the OR BOLI got this one right. It will be interesting to see how it plays out and how it affects other states.

That should happen everywhere, retailers are refusing legal sales. If we hit them all with Civil Rights violations, they will cease and desist.

If someone would file suit against States, who pass laws, requiring them to be 21 to buy firearms, we can get that idea, to die also.

Discrimination is discrimination. There is no other Constitutional right denied someone, over 18 but under 21. (drinking alcohol is not a right) JMHO
