Getting back into reloading after an illness. Have a Star press set with a charge bar for 4 grains of Bullseye. Any recommendations of companies to buy in bulk from ( brass and bullets)/

Bullets I used Rainers and X-treme. I buy then from local cabelas when they are at 20% using 20% discounted cabelas gift cards (now they hard to find them on ebay).
Cases either range pickups or same from online.

+1 for X-treme bullets. They are dirt cheap and are super uniform and dependable. Each 230 grain bullet weighs in at exactly 230.0 grains. The plating is super thick, so the fouling from the bullet will be the same as that of a FMJ. The best part is that it is completely coated with copper, so you won't get any yucky lead residue from the base of the bullet when firing. All of my .45 shoot very cleanly and very accurately. I really can't praise them enough.

Also +1 on once-fired brass. I usually buy loaded ammo, then reuse the brass afterwards, but with .45, it is far cheaper and easier to just use the once-fired stuff. typically 99% of them are within spec right off the bat, unlike most other once-used crud I would find. if it's out of spec, chuck it; it's really not worth your time. Also, make sure all the primer pockets are the same size upon purchase. Some *cough* blazer brass *cough* use small primer pockets, so be wary of that. Double check them all when you take them out for cleaning/resizing too.

I like Xtreme and RMR for plated, and like Precision Bullets (not to be confused with precision delta) for coated lead bullets. The most consistent bullets I have tried. Great prices, very accurate bullets in my guns (in fact the best I have used) and a Texas (Kemp) business! Even with Tax, his prices beat many of the others. His 200gr RNF and 200gr SWC are among the best in coated bullets. Sized at .4515

If your barrel prefers .452-.453, look at acme coated. As mentioned, Bayou is also a great one and he will size them to your preference if you have a non .452 preference. (at no extra charge) Super nice guy, called me back in 5 minutes on a sunday last time I left a message. IIRC Blue Bullets are sized to .451 and also another popular coated lead bullet.

For brass, you can google it and get several hits... but click around a bit, I noticed that prices are all over and not necessarily consistent from vendors that were once cheap or high. I've bought from Round2brass, carolina brass and another (name escapes me) and had a few friends gift me some brass.

I have 38/357-44spl/mag-9mm-45acp-30carbine die sets and 2 heads plus all the normal feeders and such for mine it has loaded 1000's x10+ rounds and never any issues at all, house kept with cover and still looks about new.

I’m only set up for .45 presently. I intend to remidy that in the future. Mine still looks new.
