3 days and already in panic mode.
I received my application from the Texas Handgun Academy in Garland and mailed the completed packet to TDPS on 8/13.
So (I said I would not...but I did) I logged onto the TDPS website trying to track my app.
It's asking for a PIN..if I did not apply online for my app is there anyway to track the status?
I can't believe I have started this kind of thing this early already.

If you didn't apply online, you'll get a pin in about 30 days via postal mail when your stuff actually goes in the system and whatnot.

Really plent to do that is productive during that time.
Get your gear together.
Carry at home to get used to it so fear of printing will not be an issue when you hit the street.
practice access & presentation. Empty weapon at the house.
Range time.
Read the board. Get education on holsters.
Even a yr ago you could take your class & in the interrum whil waiting on the plastic, have time to get a holster, belt, & mag pouch.
DPS is doing better & quality holster makers are getting farther behind.

Well I wrote an Email to DPS asking for a PIN. (Way to early

)
I mailed the packet on 8/13 and used a personal check to pay. As of 8/22 A.M. the check hadn't been cashed so I was starting to worry. I emailed DPS ( hate to bother people but...) and they responded within an hour stating I wasn't in the system yet so I really got nervous then. I decided to check my bank balance online 3 hours later and noticed the check had been cashed. Coincidence?
