I know the State Fair has been debated. They do have a 30.07 sign posted which is no problem for me. I had no problem getting through the gate. The Officer was very kind. When it came to the cattle barn they have a 30.06 sign posted. Why the cattle barn?

Because, you know, us LTC holders are so likely to commit a mass shooting.

My wife and I went yesterday afternoon. I showed the "security" person my LTC and she escorted both of us to the police officer on duty who glanced at my plastic and waved us through without even glancing at her purse. We didn't get to the cattle barn, but my concern was inadvertently walking onto the premises of a 51% location. I didn't see one Red Gun sign anywhere on the grounds.

Thanks. I guess that makes sense. I was not thinking a school function. I actually didn’t see the sign until I was leaving.

I went last week. Saw the cop at the entrance, made eye contact and held my LTC so he could see. He pointed to his sidearm and I nodded. He waved me over, checked my ID and let me pass.

As a side note, the females with me put there purses on a table before going through the metal detector. They walked through, the security guard took the purses around the metal detector but did not search them before giving them back. Great security!
