200 gr. LSWC Bullets Recommendation

Need recommendations for this bullet. I normally use the Lasercast bullet but my normal sources (Midway and Cabelas) are back ordered. Dillon seems to have them in stock but they want more than I normally pay at the other places. I'm contemplating buying the Hard Cast lead ones offered at Dillon but am hesitant to buy an unknown bullet. Has anyone used the ones they list?

Any other suggestions. I'd like to keep it under $90 including shipping. Opinions about the Precision Bullets 200gr SWC?

The ones from Precision are very nice - shoot well, not much smoke, clean to handle / load, and I see no leading in the bore. I like them a lot.

In the past I have good luck with these:

Andrew, I admit I'm a bit skeptical. Why are they so cheap? are they soft? Are they straight lead and not an alloy?

I haven't had any trouble with mine, but I'm not exactly a reloading guru.

Are you talking about the Bushwhacker bullets?

Thanks all. I've placed an order with Powder Valley for the Bushwhacker bullets. At $46ish per 1k they are worth a try. I ordered 1k of the 45 200gr swc and 500 of 38 158gr swc. Total was less than $80 including shipping. Not shabby for 1500 bullets.

No, they seem to be alloy of the right hardness. I actually don't think they are cheap - $35/1,000 was cheap, but that was a couple years ago.

These are cast lead alloy, not copper jacketed. $46/1,000 for jacketed would be cheap.

I think you will like them.

The Precision bullets are nice. Next TXCHLForum order in October if I read correctly.

Have fun!

Andrew
