Muzzle loader. After they outlaw everything else, you will need one.

The day I moved from Mass. to Georgia, my new next door neighbor took me shooting at a nearby sandpit.

I was so ignorant of the various handguns he had, the only one I can remember is that he had a black powder pistol, which I hated.

It would take a long time to load it, then you only got one shot before you had to start the entire laborious process again. No thanks.

This neighbor was a Houston, Texas native, but his wife told me that he knew nothing about guns until he married her Alabama self.

One day she was driving and he was in the front passenger seat, fiddling with a handgun. He negligently discharged it and put the round in the floor of the car, just to the right of her foot on the gas pedal. She was furious that he almost ruined her pedicure. :-)

I know I took this off topic, but was reminded of these stories.
