Police were first called to the scene for narcotics activity, according to Philadelphia Police Capt. Sekou Kinebrew.
The "war on drugs" got real in Philly. Hopefully no one dies needlessly.

Shades of Dallas 2 or 3 years ago. Let's pray for the officer's recovery, and they all survive.

Is it just me or does it seems like a coordinated effort to create enough gun incidents to push through the AntiGun agenda?

And it seems most of them are tied to the socialists.

Mayor blames NRA, his officers need help with gun control.
We need to take the guns away from honest citizens, so his officers can be safer.

Crowd taunts police, laugh at them in midst of gunfire. Yeah guns are the problem.

Democrat mayor blames the NRA? I'd be surprised if the mayor didn't blame the NRA, the socialists gotta stick to the script.

In North Philly standoff, alleged cop shooter Maurice Hill has a long criminal history
https://www.inquirer.com/news/philadelp ... 90815.html
Hill’s history in the adult criminal justice system began in 2001 when he was 18 and was arrested with a gun that had an altered serial number.
Public records show that he has been arrested about a dozen times since turning 18, and convicted six times on charges that involved illegal possession of guns, drug dealing, and aggravated assault. He has been in and out of prison; the longest sentence handed him came in 2010, when a federal judge gave him a 55-month term.
And, his record would indicate, he does not like to go to prison. In 2008, he was convicted of escaping, fleeing from police, and resisting arrest. Along the way, he beat criminal charges on everything from kidnapping to attempted murder.
Obviously this incident is the NRA's fault along with every law abiding citizen who owns firearms. There is no failure of the justice system here.

The "suspect" is a long-time criminal with multiple convictions for drug dealing and weapons charges, along with a very long list of other crimes. The mass news media will spin what they can for a bit, then drop this one like a hot potato.
