Hi All

New to town and time for a visit to the local gun shop to look at what I won't be buying as I save up for the diapers I'll be buying in 7 weeks

I actually do need a holster for my XD9 and just want to do some window shopping. I live in N. Dallas (Preston and 635). Can anyone recommend a good shop within 20 minute drive or so?

Bachman pawn and gun is good for buying, but not really for browsing:
2926 W Northwest Hwy Dallas, TX 75220, US (214) 351-3628

Bullet Trap in Plano is nicer to browse.

SPS Guns on Beltline Road at Josey Lane is pretty good. Sportsmans Warehouse up on Hebron Road just east of 35 has a lot of holsters.

Is SPS near the Target and Babys-r-Us off of Belt Line?

No but B+S guns is right around that area. yobdab posted the addy. You are going to find that belt line runs all over Dallas. Can be very easy to get turned around when it comes to that street.

Ha! A lot of directions begin with "get on beltline and....."

Wait to you get onto I35E heading North or Exit off of I30 onto 635 North and find the signs read you are on 635 going west...Dallas hates tourist

Try D-Rays Sporting Goods at Preston and Forest. Just down the street from you. They're on the NE corner.

And thats not to be confused with I35W.

Or when you have gone so far that 635 becomes 20

Easiest way to get to SPS would be to take 635 west to Josey Lane, Josey Lane north to Beltline, right on Beltline and immediately turn into the strip mall on the corner. SPS is on the East side of the strip mall, kind of hidden away.

Beltline by the way goes all the way around Dallas and really doesn't end. It just changes direction every once in a while.
