I didn't want to enjoy it

Well dang... I took my "new to me" Glock to the range and LIKED IT....
As per a different post here. I traded off some old woodworking equipment for a Glock... It's a G22 Gen3 but fitted out with a 9mm threaded barrel instead of the stock .40cal barrel... I've always maintained that I'm NOT a Glock fan.. Shot a few in the past and Meh..... Maybe it was the combination of a bit heavier frame and a smaller caliber, I dunno.. But smooth and super accurate with the Trijicon sites that were installed.
I also brought along a "New to me" Ruger GP-100 6"... while a bit heavier than my old S&W 66, again... super accurate.....
I'm thinking of going ahead and grabbing a .40 stock barrel... I found a few on Gun Broker for like $65.00 so why not have both barrels since it is a G22. And since it has a threaded barrel, maybe go ahead and play around with a compensator as well....

Welcome to the dark side.
And you should be able to get a .357 Sig barrel and use the .40 magazines for it.

Yea... I was looking at those too.. DANG IT.....
I figure with the ammo shortage going on it would be best to have 3 different calibers on one platform.
It had a really bad stippling job done to it, so I took some fine grit sandpaper and really smoothed it down... Still very grippy in my hand but didn't cut into it at all....

I can relate, I'm one of those goofy 1911 guys but decided to purchase a poly gun when the opportunity came up. So I did, and I I kind of like it. For me the trigger reset is what got me on the G19.

So I guess it ate and vomited all the 9mm just fine?

Yep, no problems at all... I went through 50 rounds of Federal 115g without a hiccup...

Oh, I've always had some sort of polymer wonder around, lately though I've been gravitating towards hammer fired all metal pistols though.. Right now I only have 12 pistols.
2 Revolvers
2 Polymer (My Shield wich is my daily carry and now the Glock)
1 Ruger M4 all steel but striker fired
7 hammer fired steel of various calibers and makes...
But thanks...
I hit Florence first week of November for LTC Instructor class. Right now my plan is to bring my Wilson Combat Beretta 92, but I dunno.. That Glock shot pretty straight... I'll be comparing the 2 over the next few months.... I know... Comparing a stock Glock to a Wilson Beretta is pretty hard to do, but I was impressed today with the Glock... A lot I guess really just depends on the sights and grips...

Glocks are good handguns. One of the very few I’d open a brand new box load it and trust it without firing if I didn’t have the chance.

Just make sure you practice your fast barrel changes to go along with your mag changes. Might have to change calibers in the middle of a fire fight.

You don't have to be a Glock "fan" to appreciate the simple fact that it works and is simple. My first handgun purchase was a Glock at the recommendation of a DPD Sargent that is now retired. I was always a fan of 1911s, but couldn't decide on which to buy until only a few years ago. Now I have three. Two in .45ACP and a "knock off" made by Walther with the Colt name on it as a .22lr.
I had a G22 & G27, but sold them for a G21SF & G30SF. I rarely carry one of the 1911s in a shoulder rig. Now, thanks to Jusme, I may have found a belt holster for the other. I'm not sure if or when I'll get it, but hopefully sooner than later. I'd really like to carry that one around.

Heh, heh, heh!
Exactly what happened when I gave up carrying my precious 1911s because I wanted my G19-carrying wife to be able to use my gun if the need arose. So I got myself a Glock....starting with a G17. Pretty soon, I started
liking my Glock. It shot reasonably accurately; it was soft shooting; and while it wasn’t a 1911 trigger, it really was a pretty decent trigger for a mass-produced fighting handgun. Who knew this could happen? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Then I got a G43 to complement the one I’d bought for my wife. Then I bought myself a G19. And finally, I bought a G26, because of magazine compatibility with the other 2 double stack guns. Then later, I bought a Ruger PC9 carbine which would take any of the 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, and 33 round magazine I have.
I probably haven’t put more than 100 rounds total through either of my 1911s in the past 3 years.

Same here, I already had some 15, 17 and 32 round Glock magazines because I have a Ruger Carbine as well...
