I've read some good reviews on it, as well, for what it is. It seems to be well-built, and more importantly safe. A good can-plinker and best of all...PINK!WSimons wrote:Absolutely, and I brain-farted writing the last post; Cricketts are surprisingly accurate little .22's. If you can shoulder it. Firing a full-stocked rifle as a pistol doesn't work so well.
No bash taken, my friend. I do realize that she will get limited use from it; but the memories (as well as the fact she will be learning proper and safe gun handling from a very early age) have value for me, with her, that no amount of money can buy...WSimons wrote:Strider67, I'm not trying to bash your suggestion at all; in fact, I think for what it is, the Cricketts are fine little beginner rifles. They're surprisingly reliable and dirt-cheap most places.
Only drawback is that it'll be outgrown pretty quickly, but in all likelihood, won't last quite that long.
That's pure greatness! I have a 6 yr old daughter who I bet Santa is bringing a pink, youth model, Crickett .22 for Christmas. May want to check them out...Rocstar wrote:Just wait until she figures out she needs a matching holster as well!Craig8d8 wrote:she said "well I want a dark pink gun with crystals on it then Texas will let me carry too". Oh the joys of being a worry free tot!!
Excellent! I called Uncle Rick earlier and...I mean, Congrats!Rocstar wrote:

Getting closer....
Supposedly they go out in big batches, I'm assuming on Fridays, from other timelines... It took mine 5 days to get to me after it showed mailed. I won't guess anymore, just good luck!Rocstar wrote:
It is irritating to me that it showed mailed on 11/8, and I would even give them the benefit of the doubt that it didn't actually go to the post office until 11/9, but I still can't believe that, even with a holiday thrown in there, that I didn't receive it on Saturday, 11/12, much less yesterday, 11/14.
I feel terrible! It's all my fault! I forgot to take into account that Friday set us one day back.Rocstar wrote:
No luck here either.
They were probably planning for their Friday on Thursday, and recovering from their Friday on Saturday!Rocstar wrote: Obviously, didn't get any mail on Friday. But didn't get anything on Thursday or Saturday either. Highly unusual. Not even a piece of junk mail. So I have my doubts that they even worked those days.
I checked mine on Sunday morning; after church; early, mid, and late afternoon; early and late evening; and at night before I went to bed! And still never got a dog-gone update on a Sunday!TheMilkMan wrote:I feel you. It is a compulsion to check when I wake up, even on a Sunday. Stranger things have happened...
