I think AMT went bankrupt three or four times!

Mine is the AMT .380 Backup. And I have one of the early models that I bought before the quality went down!

I spent at least 8 hours with a file and stone removing all of the burrs and tooling marks on the frame and slide. I had to polish the ramp so it would feed. Also, I can't hit the broad side of a barn with it. It's for sale. Any one interested?

You just reminded me...add the AMT .380 backup to my list.

I had one of the early ones and it was a jam-o-matic that couldn't hit dirt if you dropped it.

Any gun that the name starts with a "G" and ends with "lock" is a gun I would not own. I just cannot stand the awful triggers, the box 'o Wheaties profile when worn concealed or the unnatural bulky feel in my hand. I also don't care for plastic weapons (or holsters).

But that may all be due to the fact that I prefer 1911's, which are about as opposite of a Block as can be in every way. Metal and leather for me.
