And at halftime, Wikileaks released the Falcons' playbook on the internet.

No other way to explain two halves of football that looked as if they were played by completely different teams. It also seems that Dan Quinn had been using a private email server and, once hacked, Bellichek got hold of Quinn's emails, read all 38,000 of them before the start of the 3rd quarter, and the rest is now history.

Pretty certain it isn't, though they both have shaved heads. The device is made by Battelle Memorial Institute and, "the DroneDefender may be used in the United States only by authorized employees of the Federal government and its agencies...."

In lieu of Raid coming out with a new Wasp & Drone Spray, it's actually sorta possible: http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2015/10/14/ ... radio.html.

With all the security prep and presence in place, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. Local news says that over 20 agencies--local, state, federal, and private (the NFL has their own security operation headed by a former DC chief of police)--are in place on the ground and in the air. The feds have a large helo flying at low altitudes a few times every day for the purpose of taking air samples for radiation and biologics. The day of the game, there will be a no-fly zone strictly enforced all around NRG Stadium in a wide 10-mile radius and up to 18,000 feet. My understanding is that lasts from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. LE helos will be in the air and armed fighters on the tarmac at Ellington, ready to scramble.

Houston truly is stranger than usual this week.

To do so would be illegal, immoral, and despicable.

Yet not impossible. Just sayin.
Not only not impossible; quite likely.

I was there last weekend for the Houston marathon packet pick up... a decidedly not professional sporting event. There were 30.06 and 30.07 signs all over the place.
Unfortunately, I agree. Mind you, I know nothing about detailed plans and preparations--did a couple minutes of Googling, which helped not at all--but considering it's the NFL and a very Blue city government, I fully expect 30.06/30.07 signs to be everywhere, and for metal detectors or wanding to be at many facility and venue entrances.

I hope I'm wrong. But the fact is, it's a one-time, very-high-profile event that will span only a few days, is being conducted at a time of heightened terrorism awareness, and it is being planned, managed, operated, and enforced by anti-gun, anti-freedom authorities. Add to that any potential infractions of Texas codes with respect to prohibiting licensed carry would have to be reported to the AG's office and would likely not be investigated for months--long, long after the Super Bowl is over and everything is back the way it was--and there is literally no downside (in their minds), not even a slap on the wrist, for Houston's mayor and city government to apply as much no-carry enforcement as they can to any associated events that they can.

Again, I hope I'm wrong. But I bet I'm not.
