Sometimes we're the only copy of the second amendment that people see. Don't be so quick to dismiss her request for a second chance. You have an opportunity to present an alternate view of gun owners to her that she may not have seen before in person.

Also, other than her opinion on guns, she might be an interesting person worthy of getting to know. After all, there's something about her that your common friends find worthwhile.

I'm not saying another date, maybe coffee or a casual lunch. I'm not sure about the range idea, though. Her initial reaction was pretty severe. You did say that things were going well before she made her discovery.

Ah, the convoluted trappings of setting someone up. I'm surprised that one of your friends wasn't better informed about either of your leanings.
