Re: Lautenberg introduces ammo bill
Okay stop for a moment and think about the rounds limit. The wackos and criminals who commit murder are NOT going to obey any gun law or ANY law. Only a fool would believe that a criminal is going to stop and say "dang! Can't use my 30 round mags today so I'm going to have to carry a bunch of 9...

Re: Open seat for next applicant
Yea, if I hadn't messed up it would have been less frustration. It took about 3 weeks from the time I sent my original checklist with items for a change in status on the dps web site. Original packet was sent certified mail. It took about 4 weeks from the time of mailing the chl-100 (regular mail) t...

Re: My bad, thought I had everything
Checked the site this morning and I have manufacturing pending, everything else completed!
My mistake probably added 3 weeks to my processing. Oh well, it's done and I'm going shopping for my carry today.

Re: My bad, thought I had everything
Still no update on them receiving my chl-100. Called a couple of times and they said I should be okay. Gonna call my chl instructor to see if I can get another chl-100. From what I was told at gander mountain I may have to take the class again.

Re: My bad, thought I had everything
Thanks y'all! I checked my status this morning and it now shows background check under review, photo holder under review and chl-100 missing. Got an email stating my chl-100 was missing and a letter was sent for me to return with my chl-100.: I sent it in the other day, hope I didn't screw up ...

My bad, thought I had everything
Well I screwed up, now my plastic will probably be a Christmas preasent. I mailed my checklist 3 weeks ago and this past weekend while moving my home office to my front room (flooring project) I found my chl-100 under my day timer.... Ugh!!! Thought I put it in the packet. Oh well, live and learn. I...

Re: Texas CHL eligibility question
bizarrenormality , thank you for your reply. Yea I'm cool with no discount just concerned about the nature of the misconduct charge. I was young, dumb and stupid in my early days now I am wiser and have that only regret in life.

Texas CHL eligibility question
Hello, I had a double reserves enlistment. I have a honerable discharge from the air force reserves back in, a under than honerable discharge from the air national guard for misconduct, failed drug screen. Would the latter be a disqualification for a CHL? This happened back in '86.
