Re: Carry in Texas polling place? it depends
Well...Since you put it that way... Lemme 'splain a few things to y'all in this forum... Years ago I did ask this of the County Clerks office in Harris County, and the person giving the recertification of the Law Class wjich is required at each election cycle said this to mh question of our authorit...

Re: Carry in Texas polling place? it depends
I am an elected official, and Presiding Elections judge for over 25 years.. Although I do promote and support the right to keep and bear arms, I have never been able, per the law as written, in this State to carry concealed or open in my polling location... Unless you can cite the exemptions in the ...

Re: Manchin, Toomey both interested in reviving gun control
You know, I feel I must interject something that may very well sting a little bit to some people in our community...I will do my best to be as short as possible, and I may fail, but this is an observation that needs to be clear, and as unambiguous as possible...Please bear with me... I feel that ove...

Re: Home-Assembled Firearms Restriction Act of 2015
This is going nowhere in the current House of Representatives so long as it is controlled by the letter (R). I would not count on that for one second... Considering the Feds like to violate states rights all the time now, with waivers, subsidies, and creating dependency on the government for everyt...

Any block of any size that could be milled into a receiver, so long as it would function after the milling. So lead, gold, etc would be okay, but aluminum, steel, titanium, etc wouldn't. Not to mention the ban on parts kit. So if they label it repair kit is it okay all of a sudden? Will have to giv...

So, if we go a head and self-regulate and stop talking/discussion/posting on websites like this... Does that make us more or less dangerous to the numbnuts who are pushing the edge of the envelope here??? I saw this today...It just additional media copy-catting journalism... http://www.washingtonexa...

To each his own. I want utilitarian. Less is more. For you, I get that. And, no criticism implied, as I recall you carry a Glock, which is about as utilitarian as a pistol gets. Having read a lot of your posts, am I correct in assuming that you don't own/carry any kind of what might be called a &qu...

Re: Veterans Blocked From Owning Firearms
What the idea is is to setup ANY person who served, is serving, and in the future choose to serve this country as being mentally compromised... This will warrant special scrutiny for anything the veteran, or active duty or reserve service member chooses to do... i.e.: drivers license, CHL, seeking t...

For many years I made it clear I could go either way on the issue, and for the longest time I salivated (kidding) at the thought of purchasing a very good, high quality holster, that functioned as well as it looked... Yeah, call me a fashionista... I hate to say this, but a few laptops and oth...

Re: HB910 Friday April 17, House Calendar for 2nd Reading
Looks to me that Amendment 9 (local preemption in cities with >750,000) was adopted into Amendment 8, but Amendment 8 was tabled and did not pass. The only Amendment to HB 910 that passed was Amendment 18, making a 30.06 violation a Class C unless "after entering the property, the license hold...

BTW, reading the minutes...I may have missed something... Did the Strickland "gemaneness amendment" screw this deal up??? I see the bill passed (engrossed)??? but maybe I'm misreading it, because I do not see a definitive final vote on the bill and approved amendments... Still gonna go hol...
