Anniversary of Waco
Anniversary of Oklahoma City
Anniversary of Columbine
What am I missing?
Now Virginia Tech.
Referred to as "Murder Week" or "Wacko Week" in LE circles. Around April 1st of each year the Feds send out a bulletin to all LE agencies reminding them of of these dates and to be prepared for similar type acts - ie:
I want to bring your attention to the potential for increased extremist activity in the month of April. In particular, April 19 and 20 are two dates of exceptional significance for many in the extremist world and are rallying points for calls to action.

The following anniversaries fall on April 19:

· In 1993 the 51-day siege at the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, ended.

· In 1995 Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols bombed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The following anniversaries fall on April 20:

· Adolf Hitler’s birthday, which is now celebrated by neo-Nazis and extremists in the U.S. and internationally.

· In 1999 the Columbine High School massacre in Colorado.

But can anyone write (or at least volunteer to write) better "copy" for these networks and media types???
Kind of like the CNN reporter that was talking about the 9mm and 22mm handguns that were used in the VT killings...

NASA evacuated a building at the Johnson Space Center in Houston after a person with a gun was seen and a shot was fired, a NASA spokeswoman said Friday. A SWAT team has been sent to the scene, a source told CNN. One report indicates the suspect has barricaded himself in a building.

NASA spokesman James Hartfield told CNN gunshots were heard in the building. He added NASA security rules do not allow weapons on the property.
That really did a lot of good didn't it?
