However, as the gentleman pointed out:
He's been here 6 years, on a dependant visa not working, or working illegally.
Now that he want's one of those freedoms that requires a little more 'skin', he want's to pack up go home. It seems that applying for 'resident legal alien' or earning citizenship is more than he feels he can do, and therefore he does not meet the requirements. Choices have consequences, I tell my kids everyday.
