Re: Soft Pistol Case

I finally decided on this [at least temporarily] - a CD carrier by Case Logic. I bought it a while back, but never used it for CD storage. It's the right size for my Colt DS and a couple of Bianchi speed strips.

I am still eyeing the purse that TAM suggested. :lol:

The one he used was just a bit bigger than a legal size envelope.
This is a good possibility. And they're only about 3 bucks!

They look like they would be a perfect size.

I like this one http://www.readykor.com/redcross/2200-NV.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This is good too, but a little flashy? http://www.readykor.com/redcross/9165-rc.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The price of the case and the contents can't be beat. Although, I would hate for someone to accidently open it up and find a .38 Special when they were looking for a band-aid. :lol:

Your prize?? :headscratch How about a first aid kit?

For the Snubby that does not look like a pistol case, look around at Women's Make-Up bags. They come in all sizes and shapes and DO NOT LOOK LIKE A GUN RUG.
Do you mean like this one?

This is a little bit big for my needs, but it does look nice and inexpensive.

Edited to add: It appears that are available in smaller sizes. Thanks for the post!

But, a thought if you do want to just hide it: Collect some empty bags/cups from whataburger, subway, other fast food joints, some newspaper and other junk and throw it in the floorboards behind the passenger seat. Hide that case underneath the trash. I doubt they'd want to dig through some trash, but you can be sure they'll look in the glove box/console.
Hiding it in the trash sounds like a plan.
So you have seen my car? :headscratch

I wasn't so much thinking about thieves, but if one of my friends [or co-worker] saw me putting something in the truck or taking something out, it wouldn't obviously be a gun.

Galco make a nice leather "defense planner", but I had not wanted to spend $94.05. They also make a nicer and more expensive [$199.95] faux alligator "hidden agenda". Uncle Mike has a "Day Planner" for $16.97, but the reviews say it looks "cheap". I guess I need to make a roadtrip to Target. :lol:

This is how it all got started. I was looking at pistol cases the other day while at Academy. I got to talking to a fellow customer about the lack of choices. He suggested a Crown Royal sack, but I told him that if it got wet my gun would turn purple.

74novaman wrote:Where will you be taking a gun that you need it concealed but not carried on your person?

Knowing the purpose behind the need might help us think of an idea or two that might work for ya.
Just to store it in something that doesn't look like it has a gun in it. For example if I store it in the truck if I go to a no-carry location.

Check out day planner type conceal holsters. They look just like any other rectangular day planner.
:iagree: A plain day planner with some sort of retention inside for the gun would be far more discrete.
I don't want it too thick so a day planner + gun isn't going to work for me.

Plus a gun rug at Academy is only about $5.

Soft Pistol Case

Does this pistol case scream gun?
Or it is only because I am a "gun person"?

Image

Does anyone have suggestions for a softcase that doesn't look like a gun rug?

I am looking for something for a small revolver.
