I am still eyeing the purse that TAM suggested.

This is a good possibility. And they're only about 3 bucks!stash wrote:Based on what you want it for I don't know if this would work for you but I worked with a guy at one of those 3 letter agencies that carried a snubbie most of the time in one of those zipper bank bags that you used to be able to get at banks (and may still be able to) that come in several sizes. The one he used was just a bit bigger than a legal size envelope.
This is bordering "gender" harassment. I guess I am going to have to hire an attorney.74novaman wrote:Well considering the makeup case recommendations earlier it makes sense to recommend other womanly products to ya......
Modernmarkswoman? TAM, these are for girls! I can't have this!
They look like they would be a perfect size.Carry-a-Kimber wrote:I got the winner, what's my prize?

:-)
Do you mean like this one?AEA wrote:OK, I'll help you out.
For the Snubby that does not look like a pistol case, look around at Women's Make-Up bags. They come in all sizes and shapes and DO NOT LOOK LIKE A GUN RUG.
This is a little bit big for my needs, but it does look nice and inexpensive.tomtexan wrote:This looks nice and inexpensive.

You're the one who started it all, giving me a camo pistol case! I finally decided to get something less conspicuous.AEA wrote:Just send the DS-II back to me and you won't have to buy any of this stuff!
So you have seen my car?C-dub wrote:Hiding it in the trash sounds like a plan.74novaman wrote:Gotcha. Seems that most thieves dig thought most everything if they break into a car, so a lockbox cabled to the seat might be a better option than hiding it.
But, a thought if you do want to just hide it: Collect some empty bags/cups from whataburger, subway, other fast food joints, some newspaper and other junk and throw it in the floorboards behind the passenger seat. Hide that case underneath the trash. I doubt they'd want to dig through some trash, but you can be sure they'll look in the glove box/console.
This is how it all got started. I was looking at pistol cases the other day while at Academy. I got to talking to a fellow customer about the lack of choices. He suggested a Crown Royal sack, but I told him that if it got wet my gun would turn purple.74novaman wrote:Gotcha. Just to store it in something that doesn't look like it has a gun in it. For example if I store it in the truck if I go to a no-carry location.74novaman wrote:Where will you be taking a gun that you need it concealed but not carried on your person?
Knowing the purpose behind the need might help us think of an idea or two that might work for ya.
I don't want it too thick so a day planner + gun isn't going to work for me.74novaman wrote:C-dub wrote:Yes. Yes it does. GUN!![]()
Check out day planner type conceal holsters. They look just like any other rectangular day planner.A plain day planner with some sort of retention inside for the gun would be far more discrete.
