Given the Democratic play book, Trump can't win this one. Since he used non-campaign money, they argue the hush money was intended to benefit the campaign and should therefore have been reported as a campaign expense. Had he used campaign funds, they would argue he used campaign funds for a personal matter.

Don't look for intellectual consistency. It's not there.

I'm drawn to principled arguments against incentives, but the reality is that, if you don't offer incentives, you're not in the game. Despite the incentives, Queens would have been immeasurably better off for having an Amazon HQ. The people of Queens will be less well off, but they deserve what they get for electing her.
