Sounds like me on the first (and only) double while dove hunting, I simply shrugged to my companions and said I was tired of having to waste a whole shell on one dove. Of course I never duplicated it and blamed any subsequent misses on wind, birds changing direction, etc.. ( I actually didn't know the second dove was close enough to be hit)
