Re: 2016 Application Watch - post your 2016 timelines here
Went on vacation over the weekend and wasn't able to check from Thursday through most of Sunday. As you know, I had to re-submit my CHL form because the instructor did not print his name and instructor number in the classroom section and TX DPS denied it and sent me a letter two weeks later.MrMcCullster wrote:Texas DPS Online Application - 5/25/16

Technically that gives them 180 days to issue my license since they needed more info. My hopes of a speedy turnaround had been dashed and my frequency of which I checked the status page started to space further and further apart (it went from 1 hour to 5 hours haha! ). I just got back into town this evening and low and behold my status page had been updated to show green across the board for me and that my LTC is Print Pending. I am beyond giddy right now.
From what others have said, it sounded like their computer glitch cleared up, because early last week it still showed they needed to do the background check, passport photo holder was yellow, and the classroom proficiency still stated that they mailed me and needed more info (I resubmitted that over a month ago and go a confirmation that same day - 6/20/16).
If you haven't checked your status lately, go check. It might have been updated with this latest website issue that they had.

Re: 2016 Application Watch - post your 2016 timelines here
Well, today is day 30 after my all in submission confirmation on 6/20. I'm the guy that had the issue with them accepting a CHL100 form without the printed instructor name filled in the classroom part. I still check the TX DPS CHL website everyday to see if their computer glitch has cleared up and my page has updated (and maybe once or so on the weekends if I remember).Texas DPS Online Application - 5/25/16
IdentoGo Fingerprinting - 5/27/16

I've mentioned it before, but since I had to resubmit again they have 180 days, and that just seems like it's forever away. Just have to get everything in order and focus on other things, and re-check at 60 days.

Just logged into the TX DPS website and my page looks to have changed now.MrMcCullster wrote:Hey guys,

I can now see all of the different steps and items needing to be completed.
Couple of things:
Passport Photo Holder (Out of State Only) shows to be "Under Review" for some reason (I have a valid TX DL) and it looks to be old information as it still shows the Classroom training to be "Incomplete, notice sent to applicant." - Resubmitted completed form on 6/20.
Background and LTC are under review (yellow) as well - as to be expected.
I'll give it a few more weeks and check back.

Hey guys,

I started the 60 day clock after 6/6, but received a letter on 6/17 (two weeks time from submission) from DPS saying that my CHL form was incomplete.
The reasoning they gave in the letter was quoted:
"The application you submitted had an incomplete or missing Certificate of Training Form (CHL-100)."
The issue with the form is that my instructor used an Adobe PDF reader to Sign and Fill the text field in the range qualification section to mass produce these forms, but did not do the same thing to in the upper classroom portion. His signature is exactly the same in both sections, but with the printed information not being there, they denied it.
A little work in Adobe Reader to Sign and Fill on the CHL-100 form and I resubmitted to Texas DPS.
So, if I'm understanding this correctly, according to the TX DPS FAQ, since they requested more information, they now can slow roll my LTC and have 180 days to issue my license.
