Our endless discussion of carrying at the post office won't last all that much longer as they're going the way of the buffalo.
Instead of trying to compete with greater efficiency, improved timeliness, lower cost and the other free enterprise systems responses to competition, the Post Office has simply gotten worse...
The end of this institutional awful is something their management can look at in the rear view mirror of history and wonder why they didn't get their stuff together when they had the chance.
UPS / Fed-Ex - E-mail/ Internet Banking & Bill Paying etc., is eliminating the once required need the Post Office provided.
I'll be a little sad when this once admired institution is gone, but it's time is overdue...
