Why bother breaking it down? Just follow TSA's requirements and also check with your airline to be sure they don't have any special rules. I've checked my carry weapon whilst flying and it was no problem at all. Just be sure to check with the state you are going to about any special rules governing concealed carry inside unsecured areas of airports. In Texas it's not a problem, but in other states it can be, and the only signs are outside the airport usally, so you need to check ahead of time if you are thinking of holstering up in the rest room on your way out (as I prefer to do if allowed).flb_78 wrote:Back to the original thread,
Transporting a firearm by airplane should not be a problem. I would break it down though. Obviously you will not be able to do it as a carry on, but checked luggage should be no problem.
