Tell them you are armed. If they check, OOPS!, I thought I was.stash wrote:I thought I read (cannot remember where) a couple weeks ago that if you went thru the CHL lane and you were not armed they would send you to the regular lane so they did not have to waste time running you thru the computer. But know I wonder if they run you thru the computer if you are not armed (lobbyists) or you just show your CHL and get passed thru?

Re: 1st Contact
I am pretty sure that you can take them with you through the line.shoeless wrote:If you have a CHL and are not carrying, you can still use the CHL lane. There are a number of congressmen and women that are now applying for their licenses, simply so they can avoid the long lines going into the Capitol building and use the CHL lane.
I didn't try to go through the regular line, so I don't know what would happen in that situation. My bride understood how significant it was for me to carry in my state capitol, so she happily took the kids through the "regular" line and let me go my way. Love that woman more everyday!

I thought you could be accompanied by your dependents through that lane.Keith B wrote:But if you are carrying, you MUST use that lane. Otherwise, you have to disarm before going in.lonewolf wrote:She Who Must Be Obeyed would be mad at me for using the fast lane.......
