I've read the horror stories from numerous users that applied back in March and April and are still having issues getting their licenses. I understand the frustrations among everyone. I consider myself to be very likely to get through the process as quickly as I did. I hope DPS can work to improve the process for everyone in the future, but, working for government on the local level, I know what the "speed of government" is all too well. With all of the political games played in the government sector, and employees doing jobs they are not qualified for, I honestly don't have a lot of hope for improvements. I hope they can prove me wrong...mr.72 wrote:must be nice.
I would be less likely to complain, you are likely to get your license about a month or more quicker than most of us who applied in the past six months.
With that said, I had a small package delivered to me today via USPS first class that was sent from out of state and was mailed out last Friday, the same day I received the "App complete" message. Seems to me that if the plastic was mailed from Austin on Friday, I should've received it today. BUT, I suppose it might have sat until Tuesday before it was mailed.
I do hope the process improves and I do hope that in the future all applicants from one month will receive their licenses before the applicants of the next month. We will have to see what changes at DPS.
