Most of the people who get CHLs are people who believe in being prepared for what MIGHT happen, not just assuming, "Oh it will never happen to me."
Some people are comforable carrying a pocket gun. Some people want a major caliber handgun plus a reload. Some people carry two handguns. Some people want to walk around with a FA M4.
Some people buy homeowners insurance and skip the flood insurance because they're outside the 100 year flood plain.
Life isn't safe. We each have to decide for ourself how to manage risk.
