Re: Glock 26 AND Glcck 19 question ?

I've got a 34 (semi-long slide) and 26. The recoil in the 26 is noticiably more, but not by very much, than in the 34. WIth the Gold Dot Short Barrel +P's I carry, it's still more noticable, but not unpleasant. I'm more accurate with the 34 by a fair margin, which I attribute mostly to the longer sight radius and partially to the lighter trigger. The 26 is more than up to most people's definition of "combat accuracy" though. The dangling pinky bothered me for the first 50 rounds, then it ceased to be an issue.

I carry in a Southern Comfort IWB holster on either a bianchi or 511 belt (depending on the pants) and carry a full size magazine (a la 17/34) in either my weak hand pants pocket or in a mag carrier on my belt.

Interestingly, I had carried 1911's for several years. I had never shot a glock, nor had I any desire to. When I took my CHL course, I shot my full size 1911 which I had had for a few years. The next week I went to a first steps course with the wife. The instructor handed out Glock 19's for the class. However, he gave me a Glock 26 to use for the class as he ran out of the 19's and knew I was more experienced than anyone in the class (it was a first steps class  ). I actually shot the Baby Glock better the first time I shot it than I shot my 1911 using the exact same course of fire.
