1) Marlin 39A
2) Glock 19
3) BCM Midlength AR-15
4) Winchester M70 .30-06
5) Remington 870
Those should do just about anything needs to be done in North America.
Whenever I've played this game before I've been able to get it down to 4. I'm of the opinion that you can really do anything you would need to with 4 guns:
1) handgun in a good defensive caliber
2) centerfire rifle capable of taking deer-sized game
3) a .22 (handgun or rifle, your choice)
4) 12 or 20 gauge shotgun
Fortunately, "need" isn't a prerequisite for buying a gun.
