Re: How secure is your safe?

Most criminals aren't going to go to a home carrying a large pry-bar to get into a safe anyway. Why waste the time, in most people’s houses, busting into a safe when they can grab items that can be sold for fast cash. I cannot imagine a criminal spending their time doing that and not just grabbing the electronics and stuff that cannot be put into a safe with any convenience. I can see them taking a small floor safe and busting into it later if it isn't bolted down.

I don't want my guns used to harm any innocent person. So, I bought a safe and locked them up. If criminals break into the safe and take the guns, I will feel bad. But, I did try and that is more than most people I know who have their guns in closets. Why would they spend such energy to bust my safe when they can go to most any house around and turn the knob on a bedroom closet? Most crooks want fast and easy, in and out. Alarms, dogs, guns in safes, locked doors, armed home owners, etc., are all deterrents. I learned that from a couple uncles of mine.....God rest their souls.
