Re: Taurus PT-917C

I am looking at purchasing a Taurus PT-917C from a pawn shop in the area. They have the firearm listed at 350 + tax, and I am hoping that they can drop the price a little if I offer cash. I haven't heard much concerning the PT-917C. And in all of the gun shops and pawn shops I frequent in the never ending search for new firearms, I have never seen one before. Does anyone have any information and/or opinions concerning this particular model?
I have owned one for about a year. Great gun! It's essentially a PT-92 with a shorter slide and barrel. It shoots really well, although the grip is a little large for my hand and have a little difficulty with the trigger reach. Joe817 is right, it is heavy. I used it to qualify for my CHL, and also shot it during my first IDPA match. I wouldn't carry it concealed however. To big for my body type. I have a CZ 75 Compact PCR for my carry gun.

Cheers! :coolgleamA:
