Basically, I just built this AR and wanted to function check it and run a few ammo types through it. Typically, I sight in my rifles at 50 or 100 yds. Even hunting, I rarely make a shot over 100yds. I shot today. I asked because of that reason and I wanted to make sure it was ok to shoot the M855 5.56 surplus ammo I had brought. I had other soft points and hollow points and told them I could shoot those if it was an issue....he said "Nah, you should be fine." On I went and shot 20 rounds of it.
Have to admit, the guy wasn't wearing the typical BT shirt and isn't normally there when I go. That might explain it. I'll double check next time I go and let you know for sure what the policy is.
