that's as close as i'll get to an admission. 
I don't remember which pistols I was shooting, but I shot enough that trigger slap numbed the trigger finger. So, much that i decided to use the middle finger on the trigger. I use a drill so much, an use the center finger on the control, and index to "point " the drill. I though it would be no big deal on my 9mm.
No trigger control at all, horrible.
I only practice now until I'm doing well, not to failure.
I used to practice golf until things were going from great to poor. That was a hard habit to break, but a great lesson learned the hard way.
