I'm very interested in these Big Dot sights. You obviously like them.

When comparing them to standard 3-dot sights (or even Glock U-shape rear notch sight with dot front), are they just as accurate at ...

10 yards?
15 yards?
25 yards?
further?

That's my concern ... does the "BIG DOT" up front cause you to lose some accuracy/sight picture at greater distances? Obviously for up close and personal that big white dot is a no-brainer. But for a 20-yard shot, I'm wondering if you could end up completely obscuring the COM on say an IDPA target? Or a head shot (yeah yeah, i know not likely I'll need to make a headshot at 20 yards EXCEPT in competition, but I like to use same gun/sight set up in competition as I do for carry).

1. Is it worth the extra coin for the adjustable sights
2. Are the polymer sights ok, or should I go with steel (if I don't get the adjustable one's).
3. Do the standard sights hit point of aim fairly well?

Come on Glockers, let's hear it, please!
Late to the party, but here's my $0.02 ...

Standard Glock sights are fine. I shoot IDPA with a Glock 17 with standard fixed plastic Glock sights. I actually like the rear sight horseshoe design.

However, aftermarket steel night sights will likely be much more DURABLE.

That said, I carried a Glock 23 (same as G19 but in .40) for 10-plus years with plastic factory adjustable sights and never had a single problem. In fact, I might even put the rear adjustable sight back on my gun so I can adjust point of aim when I swap in a Lonewolf 40-9 conversion barrel. In fact, only point of aim problem I've ever had with a Glock is when switching to this 40-9 conversion barrel (my G23 currently has Meprolight green front/orange rear night sights. Point of aim is off a few inches at 15 yards when shooting 9mm.
