Of course, that wouldn't require creating a large bureaucracy to give jobs to their cronies or passing complex legislation so as to earn bribes from lobbyists, so it'll never happen.
Another simple reform would be to make medical expenses and insurance premiums tax free for everyone, not just for people who have a FSA or HSA or exceed 3%, and not just people who buy medical insurance through payroll deductions. That would have a big effect on people who work for a living with little effort, but it wouldn't give the government control over our personal lives. No wonder Obama and Pelosi oppose these reforms.
