His counterpart in the Union was Billy Yank."-wikipedia My dad is a huge history buff, and one of his favorite times to study is "the war between the states." He became a Civil War re-enactor and a commander in an SCV (Sons of Confederate Veterans) camp. Our whole family has dressed in period outfits before, and we've performed in re-enactments and living history events. One picture has my wife and I at a re-enactment in Bellmead, TX, and another picture is a bunch of us "cootering up" for battle in Gainesville, TX.
