I have been carrying for a long time now and my wife of six years did not seem to have a problem with it at all. She has mentioned she would like to get her permit, but, it would be for political reasons just like when she joined the NRA. Her father has carried as long as I have, so it would seem she is comfortable with it, however...we went to the Ft.Worth zoo last Monday..
the 30.06 sign is inside the park after you pay your admission and cross inside. I saw the sign and told her I would return shortly....when I got back she was m a d and said" just because you have the #$&* permit does not mean you have to carry the thing!"
I blew her off and still carry...24/7
