It makes perfect sense to me that citizens of all political perspectives, who value their forefathers and their values, can respect and honor individual rights. What I find troubling is the hypocrisy present amongst some 'conservative' groups who legislate to limit individual rights. Voter ID comes to mind. The state never prosecuted anyone for voter fraud in recent history yet it became a major issue. Like passing a law making it illegal for the sky to fall. Or, listening to televison campaign ads where the guy promises to lower property taxes in Texas. The state legislature's inability to raise state taxes and its proclivity for passing the bills on to the counties and cities resulted in increased property taxes. If elected, he promises not to raise state taxes but will lower property taxes? Just how do you go about doing that and continue to provide the same level of services?
Well, some of us don't want some of the "services" the State provides at all, and also have no desire to see "services" remain at the same level, but in fact, would like to see them cut across the board, and in some cases, eliminated entirely. The State government should be providing a court system and a system of law enforcement, roads, maybe even a militia, and keeping its nose out of everything else.

Don't interpret this as trying to prevent YOU from helping out the State government......feel free to send them a big check.

Now that is one CONFUSED boss. :???:

No, it just shows that there are something like 1 out of 1,000 liberals who believe in the right to self-defense. I've never met any others, but I have seen a couple liberal blogs on the internet that also support the right to self-defense.

Let me add this....he voted for Obama the first time because he didn't like Bush and bought into the Hope and Change thing. I don't know that he voted for him again.....and I also don't think he is still a supporter.

I would absolutely love to be wrong about not believing that this country is filled with Obama voting employers who host CHL classes for its hundreds of employees.
Oh, I'm not denying that it is exceptional. My only point is that not every employer prohibits carry. I have no idea how many do out of the pool of how many don't. All I'm saying is that in my company, run by a man who fancies himself to be a liberal, it is allowed, and I can't believe we're the only company like that in the state of Texas, when many company heads are probably conservative.
