Remove the Authority to disarm. I've committed no crime being armed. The officer shouldn't be able to disarm me unless I'm a suspect in something that would prevent me from being armed to begin with. And then, there is the whole handling-a-loaded-weapon on the side of the road thing. Un necessary confiscation of private property IMHO.

When I was in Utah, a friend related a story to me. He had been disarmed by a female UHP officer. She pointed the gun at him twice trying to figure out how to make it safe. She did not know that you have to release the safety in order to rack the slide on a 1911, and never finished making the weapon safe.

Ah, I forgot about that part. Totaly my fault for not applying all my brain parts.

(1) "Amusement park" means a permanent indoor or outdoor
facility or park where amusement rides are available for use by the
public that is located in a county with a population of more than one
million, encompasses at least 75 acres in surface area, is enclosed
with access only through controlled entries, is open for operation more

premises at all times. The term does not include any public or private
driveway, street, sidewalk or walkway, parking lot, parking garage, or

In Utopia-Libertarian-jamisjockey-land?

Constitutional carry.
Strike any and all weapons restrictions from Texas laws, including sale and transfer of fully automatic weapons and silencers.
No public property should be off limits.


In reality-land?

Parking lot bill.
Campus carry on all school campuses.
Eliminate the Amusement park restriction.
Eliminate the "School sponsored event" language.
Eliminate the restriction of carrying at a "governmental" meeting.
