Re: Knife rights
I don't think there is much left for Texas. Switch blades are legal. What is left that you can not do with a knife in Texas?

Re: Confused about new Law vs Old Law
Possibly could still carry in your car w/no license as long as you are legally able to own a firearm.

Anyone going to carry in Sprouts in 2016?
Considering there sign will be non compliant and they haven't posted OC signs that I am aware of yet is anyone going to carry there? if we remain quite and don't open carry maybe there signs will fly under the radar. I don't think they actually have room on their windows now for both signs w/out som...

WTS: S&W Performance Center M&P Pro CORE NIB
All, I purchased this gun with the intent of shooting 3 gun competitions and mounting an RMR on it. I've since decided not to do this and I've never used the gun. It's brand new in the box. So, I would like to sell it to someone who can put it good use. For those of you that aren't familiar with it ...

Re: Removing "Shoulder or Belt" holster from SB17
I don't want to read every post here but am I understanding the consensus is that "any" holster that is connected to a belt considered a belt holster? For example I have an Alien Gear IWB holder that attaches to my belt and normally I want to use it to conceal carry but if I wanted to wear...

Re: Anyone know about Extreme Tactics and Training solutions
Thanks for the replies. I went out today and shot for a while with some friends. As stated the ower is very friendly and showed us around. We shot in a pistol bay at some of the steel targets. Also shot my AR at the 100 and 200 yard range. This place has to potential to be really nice. My only compa...

Anyone know about Extreme Tactics and Training solutions ?
They are in Waxahachie. I've emailed and there voice mail is full. Thinking about making the drive over there on Sunday but dont' want to drive and hour if they won't be open. Didn't see times on their site and also wonder if they would allow someone to shoot one time w/out membership by just paying...

Re: SB17 OC Bill On Intent Calendar for 3-16-2015.
My understanding is that open carry requires a retention type holster. What is the penalty for now having one? It would be nice to see all the rules w/out having to wade through the legal mumbo jumbo of the bill.

Walk over to the police station across the street and ask them. They are the one's that will have to enforce it. Of course we know what they will say. Honestly I wouldn't risk it. You would be a test case. Why risk it? It's a Natatorium. Everyone is in their bathing suites

Re: Anyone take a big paycut for lifestyle?
If I may offer an alternative opinion. I don't know your age but I asumme in mid to late 20's or early 30's? Taking a job where you can stay home and be closer to the family is certainly admirable and understanable and on the outside sounds great. It might even be great but you mentioned taking a cu...

Re: Respect our DPS and Troopers
I neither look, nor smell like a rat. Actually, I am almost daily told that I look like Santa Claus. Under your ROE, a LEO is allowed to: Stop and search anyone with "hispanic" features, on the grounds that he might be smuggling cocaine in from Columbia. They can stop anyone wearing "...

Re: Respect our DPS and Troopers
Honestly I don't see the problem of allowing law enforcement to search your car. I understand the thought process of giving more control to the government than they need to have or are allowd to have under the constitution but law enforcement is faced with a losing battle. On one hand we want them t...

Re: C.J. Grisham is factually-challenged
I used to want Open Carry to pass not because I would Open Carry all the time but for the fact that it would give people more options and it was more freedoms and gun rights for Texans. Now I just want it to pass so that CJ Gresham will go silently into the night. So that he will just shut up and th...

If Campus and Open Carry pass how long?
Till they become law. Maybe not the right question. Typically how long before you can actually carry on campus or openly after the bill is signed into law?
