It's really a shame. I did some recurring work in PR and traveled there frequently for a few years. Everyone I met was incredibly hospitable, energetic and professional to a higher standard than many of my colleagues stateside. The food is incredible, the locals know how to have a good time and made me feel welcome always. But coming home too-often means unlocking the iron gates to your front door and looking over your shoulder to make sure nobody's following you. PR is a beautiful place with wonderful people who are tragically set upon and imprisoned in their own homes (iron gates on windows and entryways) by the huge quantity of thugs and petty criminals that prey upon those who have had their right to basic self defense methods denied for too long.
