Re: PSA- Attention Criminals

I also want to note that it's not the letter itself I don't agree with, because in general I do. I just think it would be better say what is needed without telling criminals that they can come to these places and not expect resistance. It's encouraging them to do so, even though there's a point being made, it's like pointing a muzzle at something you're not prepared to destroy.

I think the OP just merely wanted to express his feelings for places that have our weapons banned. Nothing more. I'm sure he was trying to relieve the matter in a humorous way, too.

It's going to be ok.. i promise. :)
That may be so, however, if I'm going to make a point in a humorous fashion, somwhere in that statement I'd make it clear that my intentions are in fact supposed to somewhat comical. Not to wish a threatening situation on my wife, and not make my comical intentions unknown. And I surely wouldn't post that letter to the open public on craigslist if that's not how I felt. Many of the readers there surely wouldn't have seen that as a humorous statement. just my opinion

My wife doesn't see things like I do, and if I didn't want to sleep on the couch It was best to comply. I did make it very plainly clear that I wasn't happy being in there. :mad5 (I honestly hoped that someone would come in to rob it so that she would feel helpless....maybe that would wake her up to my arguement).
Seriously?? While I don't always agree with businesses and their ideals behind enforcing their right to ban us, I don't see how anyone can wish for their loved ones to be put in harms way, for a lesson or otherwise.

Even the fact that you want this letter published is concerning to me. That's prectically inviting the stupid criminals who haven't thought about it. Again I understand your frustration about businesses enforcing these signs, I think this kind of action will do more harm than good, since those who aren't aware of these kinds of laws and signs in place still visit those places very often, this kind of strategy eccentially places more innocent people in harms way. I fail to find anything humerous about it.
