I realize this is a forum directly related to handguns, but I still think a Big Fifty '74 Sharps, like the one used by Billy Dixon at Adobe Walls (2nd battle) merits strong consideration.

However, if it was to be a handgun, I can't argue with a Walker Colt - almost bought one (Uberti reproduction) a few months ago.
