It feels made up to me also, but made up with the purpose of forcing people to think about things. Put yourself in the character's shoes and imagine every bit of it as it allegedly went down. The comments about .308 or 1 oz. slug were not intended to encompass every round that would probably drop an attacker like a sack of rocks. It was actually a light-hearted comment that I did not want to dignify with an emoticon.
