I've got (several) other .22s, but there's just something about the single action that makes it more fun. The single-action aspect takes longer to shoot, and it takes even longer to reload, but I've been known to blow through a brick of .22 in a couple hours with one (that is, back when I could -find- .22 in bulk!).

You know it's time to clean it when the cylinder won't turn without assistance and the rounds don't want to go in the chambers. :biggrinjester:
I picked up an older bearcat a few years ago. Very light and fits small hands very well. Both of my boys learned to shoot with it.

I've been looking at the S&W MP22. It's the right size, grip, and weight. What are the negatives to this gun?

The Ruger single action revolvers are very nice guns. Good quality and reasonable price. I don't own one, but have shot the 22LR, 357Mag and 44Mag. They were all nice shooters. I wouldn't mind having one, but I already have too many guns. ;-)
