Not that simple. Many people carry 7x24 in their home. They have to make the choice of carrying and alienating their guests that may be uncomfortable with open carry, going concealed, or IMO the best is to try and educate the guests on why you carry. Many times you can win them over and they will be more comfortable after they see you are not some gun-crazed lunatics. The worst that can happen is you may lose friends that just don't understand.

So, bottom line, my house, my rules. If I want to OC, then so be it and the guests that I have can either live with it or I can choose to not have them as guests.

...when I was a lad, I was taught to listen to and learn from older, more experienced men, instead of having to learn things through hard experience...and to be polite while learning from them...every member here is welcome to their own opinion on things here, and we all learn from each other...and respect the other man while expressing our opinion...if and/or when you've experienced or at least learned about some of the men's reasons for doing what they do, you might understand better...but even then, you won't have the right to be rude and condescending...

Up until recently, I (and my wife) open carried on our property-in and out of the house. After recent events, my wife and I have re-evaluated this practice. While we agree with, "my property, my rules", we simply believe that unforeseen circumstances could lead to unforeseen consequences.
No State shall convert a liberty into a privilege, license it, and charge a fee therefor. -- Murdock v. Pennsylvania
If the State converts a right into a privilege, the citizen can ignore the license and fee and engage in the right with impunity. -- Shuttleworth v. City of Birmingham
