Heard the same thing.

I was told the manufactures had to complete contracts regarding 9mm production before switching to .380
I don't know how much truth there is to that but it seems viable.

Seems to me that the Ruger folks: Makers of the LCP, would be putting a bug into ammo manufactures ears about making more .380 ammo. They might sell more LCP's if the .380 were more readily available and same price as 9mm.

Now that it's more readily available, I am paying 9mm prices for the .380.... just bought 10 boxes of 50 each for $12.99, and the monarch brand 50 count for $14.99. And, I don't think Ruger nor Taurus could produce their 380 pistols any faster than they are now and cannot keep up with the demand as is.

Thusday April 8 Cabela's In Buda, TX has plenty of .380. I can't remember if it was Monarch but it was 17.99Bx/50, WWB 18.99Bx/50 and Aquila JHP about $25-27.00Bx/50. Dick's in San Marcos - NONE. Didn't check the Academy Stores on I-35. GT Distrubuting in Austin - ZERO .380.

Just got back from Carter's in Spring. Had some Winchester Bonded for 17.99/20, WWB for 29.99/50, Fiochi 24.99/50. Had plenty of all of them, picked up some of the Winchester, didn't think the price was all that bad.

If you need it you need it, but for two dollars more thats what the 100 pack of WWB goes for

Yeah, those look like pretty bad deals to me. Academy has Monarch for like $18/50 and Cabela's has Herters for the same price. $30 for a regular box of WWB seems pretty steep to me. I just started reloading, and end up at about $5.50/50, with supplies for 18 more boxes waiting on the shelf.

I got the Bonded PDXI not the WWB. Where are you getting 100 round boxes of WWB for $32? I picked up some 50 rounders from Academy for $20 the other day but haven't seen the 100 round boxes in quite a while.
